We managed to fight two ‘one hour wargames’ scenarios. In the first the lads in the piccy (Ser Peter de Plonka’s retinue) and their mates held the bridge and carried the day after a stiff fight. The second action had Ser Peter de Plonka drawn up on a large hill facing the advance guard of Ser Barrington Bonehead’s army to their front. What de Plonka didn’t know was that this was a pinning force and the main weight of the Bonehead army were thundering into his right flank. This second battle was brill, frustration at the ‘traffic jam’ created in turning front to flank, putting de Plonka in a right bit of a tacking. But the gallant Ser Peter de Plonka clung tenaciously to his hilltop, only succumbing to Bonehead’s frantic charges the very last move of the game.
