Apologies if this has already been mentioned but I was browsing Mantic Games website and came across 'Star Saga' http://www.manticgames.com/mantic-shop/star-saga.html (http://www.manticgames.com/mantic-shop/star-saga.html)
I thought the scenery items could be useful:

And some of the figures might have potential:

I was a backer of the kickstarter and just got my core box with a set of the scenery and doors in it. Fair warning, while the doors are proper hard plastic, they went with a soft PVC on the furniture set and the pieces suffer for it. Lots of flash, lots of heat shrink on the thick items like the cabinets and even with hot water it's tough to get the thin parts like the table/bench combo to sit flat. Unless your'e looking for a real challenge, I'd avoid the set.

Being a bit slow, I have just noticed the resemblance of two of the humans to Valarian and Lauraline from the film.
-
I like the two techs; they'd be very useful in a whole range of projects.
And the carapace armoured guys on top would be awesome as Martian Marines in an Expanse project! 8)
Security guys at the bottom are also generic enough to be used just about everywhere, but the two hulk types, I'm not too sure about to be honest...

Thanks for the tip.
I was pretty interested in this set but hearing this I'll give it a miss.

Damn. I’m also a backer and I haven’t got mine yet. I was really looking forward to those furniture sets. Puts on long face and lets shoulders droop.
