The Corlears Hook Fencibles played a scenario of the battle of Chickamauga last night. The heavy woods (all green areas on mat) cut down coordination and artillery fire.

Very nice!

Thank you, Chris. The Fencibles decided on a rematch next time. I'll play Braxton Bragg.
-
Oh, that's great to hear. I'm delighted that the Fencibles like the scenario enough to go straight to a rematch.

We had an election; 3 votes for Chickamauga, 1 for Musket & Tomahawk, 1 abstention, 8,372 votes for M&T disallowed (they were all in Cyrillic).
I'm currently working on a mat for Dego 1796.

Here's a short blog post about making (and correcting) the Dego mat. https://corlearshookfencibles.blogspot.com/ (https://corlearshookfencibles.blogspot.com/)

Very cool. Love the map design. Never thought about doing it that way.
-
Understand the whys of the map but for me it is b**t ugly but if it works for you it works. Good figures deserve a better setting. Not always time or resources, I realize. Nice figures, though. Size?
-
All figures are 15mm. ACW figures are Battle Honours, early Anthony Barton sculpts.
The canvas mats look prettier, if more work and cost. But the terrain is way more precise than setting model hills about.
