Title: Kings of War...Siege rules?

I have the Historical version of the game and I want to run a siege (there are no rules for this in that book).  I'm looking around online and I'm finding the conflicting information about the fantasy (for conversion) version of the game confusing.

So...are there (castle) siege rules in the fantasy rulebook (1st or second edition) or not?  Some places make reference to siege scenarios, some things make reference to siege rules, other places ask when the siege rules are going to come out?

Any answers/information will be appreciated.

Had a look in the original (fantasy) rule books

v1 has about 6 pages on siege rules. Mainly covering various defensive structures. There is a single very basic scenario given.

These rules didn't make it into v2.

You can still get hold of the KoW v1 rules in PDF format from Wargame Vault but the price of $26.80 is a but high just for the few pages you are after.

I've never played the siege rules myself but the feedback from other players was that it didn't seem to be the best playtested part of the book.

There has been talk of revisiting the rules for one of the supplements for KoW v2 but so far nothing has surfaced.

Thanks guys, that explains the things I've read online.

I guess I'll play a small skirmish with Songs, a larger skirmish with Dragon Rampant, then a battle with KoW historical,  and finish it off with WAB Siege.  o_o

Updated seige rules for V2 are currently in development. I would recommend emailing mantic and asking if you can get the V1 rulebook, explaining your situation. Knowing Ronnie and co like I do, they will probably hook you up

I'm pretty sure the v1 freeplay rules are still on the web somewhere, and I recall the seige rules pdf too.  A quick google shows at least a couple of homebrew rulesets too that might be worth checking.
