Is it possible to stop receiving notifications from the GW thread? I commented once (now to my regret) and it will forever pop up in my 'show new replies'. I'd like rid, if possible.
-
Haha! Me too, if it is possible I'd also like to opt out.

Go into your PROFILE, then MODIFY PROFILE then NOTIFICATIONS AND EMAIL and untick the box that turns on notifications when you reply to a thread.
-
Pr go to the bottom of the thread where it says follow or unfollow and click that.

I think I'm missing that Dr Z. I can't see what you are referring to.
-
No. I think you are imagining that button Frede? I’ve never seen it, at any rate. And it would certainly be useful!
I sometimes refrain from commenting on very long running threads, because I just don’t want to get that thread coming up again and again every time I hit ‘show replies’.
But I don’t know that the capability to ‘unfollow’ a thread exists... :(
-
Not sure if I am understanding you correctly Kev but what about the ‘notify’ button at the top/bottom of the thread (if you have already enabled email notifications then selecting gives you a disable option).
I suspect though that you want to remove the once-commented upon thread from the list generated in response to selecting ‘show new replies to your posts’. Only way I can think of doing this would be to delete the original posts.

If you click the notify, you get the option to add or remove notifications.

That would stop you getting email notifications that an update had happened to the topic. But it wouldn't stop that topic coming up in the list of 'show new replies to your posts', which I think was the question. To which I do not think there is an answer. Once you've posted in a topic, that topic will always comeg up in your 'new replies' list when someone else posts in that topic.

That is correct. The board software on a technical level does not allow "ignoring" or "unsubscribing" to specific topics or boards by default. I'm afraid you'll have to use "Ignore 1.0" when it comes up in the "Unread Topics" or "New Replies to your posts".

Fair enough. Thanks for the help and answers chaps!
