Hello
I made a test of a asphalt road from the model-train company Auhagen, for a cold war gone hot game. It looks fine in my opinion.
The car is a HO-scale (1:87) Volkswagen painted to look like a burned out wreck. The plan is to have a NATO convoy shoot up by russian gunships mixed in with civilian casualties, and used as a scenic piece/roadblock in my games. Potentially I could make a scenario where russian/NATO engineer troops must clear the wreckage under fire, to enable the advance of troops caught behind the roadblock.
If anyone is interested in gaming a cold war gone hot game set in Germany, I would recommend looking into Auhagens HO/TT Scale product line. They are designed in 1:100 scale so should mix well with 15mm troops/tanks. Based in Germany their products is perfect for a game set in Germany.

Test piece looks good. Please share photos of the game when it happens.

Very nice.
Strange scales, TT is 3mm to the foot, HO is 3.5mm to the foot (Airfix is guilty of similar scale stretch - 3.5 and 4mm to the foot in their case).
TT is great for "15mm" and 1/100, they look useful for German terrain.

Great work on the car - as someone who's seen his fair share of burned out cars the effect is pretty darn accurate.

Thanks, I used pictures from google as a reference.

Agreed! I'd say the test was a success -- go for it...!

Wow, great piece!
I must say that Auhagen has great stuff, I use their plasticard sheets, windows and doors while scratchbuilding my sci-fi colony. This piece includes windows from Auhagen, a door on the rooftop shed and the brick sheet.
