Just finished quickly painting up a figure from our upcoming Hungarian WWII range! (https://scontent-lht6-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/26229702_1165106973624603_1982060460190912174_n.jpg?oh=5a6968748536ad3970fdb2f0a2b74877&oe=5AE42F58)

Oh dear, going to be very tempted by these.
-
So am I. If I could make one request, could we have packs of riflemen with plain, vanilla, unadorned tin hats? Some of us really want to do pre-war and early war Hungarians as per the 1938 border clashes with Czechoslovakia and the 1939 war with Slovakia.
-
They are all done, Carlos, over 40 figures in total. Most have plain helmets with a few field caps.
-
Great, when will they be ready to purchase? I take it there will be support weapons?
-
We are extremely proud to announce the second of our new WWII ranges, following the news of our Winter Romanians. Our Hungarian range presents a not seen before range of 28mm miniatures for WWII gaming.
The first release of command and infantry squads is in late February. In early March we release support packs including mortars, heavy machine gun, sniper and anti-tank teams.
Sculptor Michael Percy has done a great job of conveying the specific uniform characteristics and different small arms of the Hungarian army of WWII, as well as adding a healthy number of bushy mustaches! More than 40 individual figures will make up the range.

Regards.

Initial release scheduled for Feb!

Early...mid....late? By the look of them I'm guessing early/mid war?
-
Apparently these guys will be good for late war too..... :-*
-
Been painting a few more of these.

I saw some of these at the 'Green' stage.....so much better in their painted form! Thank you for filling this glaring hole in the miniatures available to those of us who favour the Eastern Front and like a little variety?
-
They do paint up well.
-
What's up with the multiple figures with the helmet netting? It was extremely rare in reality.

Lovely stuff....literally champing at the bit to get hold of these!
-
All going off to be master moulded this week. It's a total of 45 figures!

My credit card awaits!

Tease! seriously though superb figures .....loving the facial expression of the guy in the middle!

He's my favourite!

He's my favourite!
And just like we did as kids...he'll be the last rifleman to be removed in any firefight! lol

What is the Hungarian equivalent for “I’ll get you Butler!” ?

Might just pick up a couple of suitable vehicles from Mad Bob...................
-
Damn, so torn! Finally some good quality Hungarians with loads of character, I truly love SOME of them to bits (looking at you screaming charger and medic). Lots of moustaches, a nice sprinkling of danuvias, mg30s and good quality sculpting!
But on the other hand...
Nice buggle player, but where's the real radio operator?
Why fully half of them in those (silly) camo hats and my personal gripe:
in what universe are you spotting enemy movement in the far distance in one second while playing Clint Eastwood in the next... totally unfeasable...
But still... Hungarians.... So damn good!

Going to purchase mine tomorrow at Beachhead in Bournemouth :-*

And purchased they were! Straight in the door and hot-footing it I went to GEG's stand and the platoon set (2x10 man squads plus a 6 man HQ group) was mine! Very happy indeed with the figures...pretty flash free (literally a couple of minutes de-flashing), excellent mix of poses and crisply detailed!
Support weapons due by months end...MMG's, mortars, etc.....on their first run of figures I'm definitely picking these up too! Keep up the great work chaps!

lol lol lol does it show? Siege of Budapest here we come!
-
Hungarian Schwarzlose HMG team, 50mm Mortar team, Sniper team, Anti-tank gun crew and a Hungarian-specific paint set all available on the website now!
-
Just to reiterate ....I have no affiliation with Great Escape Games other than being a recent purchaser of their wonderful range of Hungarians!
-
While the initial releases do look rather nice the helmets on the newer ones look a little odd. Might be just the angle of the photos though. Need to have a closer look at a convention or the like before committing.
-
I wouldn't say no to seeing them painted? Certainly before I passed judgement?
