lol lol lol lol
Even without the quality of the paintjob I think the kriegmobil is a brilliant idea
-
Brilliant! Wonderful idea lol Especially the one with the 'driver' sticking his head out
-
Yeah...I'm dazzled by the sheer brilliance of the second one. Not only is the painting first class, who ever thought of using Playmobil for our hobby...not only that, but they look so convincing and over the top...I vote this one as the best entry of this round!
-
Indeed, the playmobil suits look remarkably convincing and sinister, my only problem with the second pic is the background, as if we didn't kow they were Playmobil. Still the winner of this round though.

Kriegmobil very original idea!

I must say that it was a dilemna for me to either make a playmobil like box or to use some scenery. I thought that they were more nice to look at in this way than a trench or Stalingrad background (and it let you guess the period you prefer, either Weird W1 or 2 or both). In a sense, it was to give some room to your imagination, but absolutely not to "explain" they are playmobil. I m sorry you felt it this way.
About the playmobil choice, I was wondering which miniature was the most "german" in what I could have painted and suddently I remembered that I ve been playing for many years, when I was a young children (I m now an old children lol ), with germans toys : Playmobils.
Also thank-you all for the nice comments.
Gregory
PS : I really like the guys doing "not war" on sky captain entry, the one with the sandwiche and the smoking one : what company are they ?

Greg, your idea to use Playmobil as German tribute is the best of the round, and very well executed of course.

They were from Bolt Action miniatures, a special set dedicated to the Lardies ( from Two Fat Lardies fame) but since Warlord Games bought the company, they don't seem to be available anymore...

Thanks for the explanation, it's a very neutral background in the end but it still leaves me wondering how convincing they look in a 'regular' 28mm setting, so if you don't mind making some additionla piccies and posting them on the forum in the future I would love to see them.
I also loved to play with Playmobil as a kid BTW, and they work excellent as faceless murder robots >:D

Thank you matou rouge. Well, even if they re no longer available, they give me some good ideas for another army...
Pil : I ll do it when this round is finished, and if I forget (which happens when you re doing too many things at the same time), please remember me )
