Tough, tough, tough! Both are so cool. I love the harsh and veteran look of the wolves. On the other hand, I think the German soldiers were painted slightly better, have a little more interesting bases and the whole look feels like a movie still. Great stuff and the second one got my vote...after some doubts :)

Both congratulations!
Very nice job.
I prefer sailors etc.
A small criticism. The Sea Wolves I think they should wear more blue uniform!

Voted for the second entry. Really like both entries, but the second one appealed more to me.

This is the first real head-scratcher for me...both are excellent entries! Theme, painting, basing and photo quality are both fantastic, it all came down to appeal in the end.

The further I go, the harder the decision. These are both great sets. I like them both equally. Einie, Meinie, Minie, Moe....Best of luck to both of you!!

Arg' are you saying that the blue uniforms themselves should be more blue, or you don't like the grey trousers on some of the models? I tried to do some research before I started painting and everything I saw on U-boat crews said that grey leather trousers were standard issue in the time period (and frankly, I liked how they broke up the uniform look ;)).

Thanks for all the kind comments!
As I want to use the LPL to improve my painting as well, I'd like to know what parts (or everything ;) ) I can improve upon.
@Heldrak: Great figures! Are they Artizan? I want to add them to my must-have list.

Yes, those are all Artizan figures from their "Thrilling Tales" Pulp line:
PLP577 Grey Wolves I & PLP578 Grey Wolves II
