Although the painting style of the first one is not really my thing, I did vote for it because I really like the colors and the horses were painted very well.
The basing on the second one is better I think.

Orctrader displays his awesomeness once again...
Beautiful figures.

Both are excellent, but 1st has a "character"

Oww :o! the sound of me gettin spanked by "Orktrader" in my first round of compitition! Nice job Orky!~ In my defense ::)(yes excuse time ...lol!) my camera broke just after these test shots before I could put group the in a proper setting and show all 20 of them! Although the pictures do not show it the SS Cav are 20mm and if I'm right Orktrader's are 28mm. I knew I get paired with tough compitition but figured I toss in Germans on Horses to make a first round statment! and I get paired with "Germans on Horses" ... lol!

I voted for the first entry as well for the sheer neatness of it. I only noticed later the second entry was 20mm (or 15 I thought, I couldn't really tell until you told me), which explains the roughness of the sculpts. I think a set of 20 in a scenic background would have been lots more impressive, and it's still a very good effort as it is 8)

Yes, they are rough because they are 20mm Britannia figures which are like ?old Glory? figures rough but a good paint job will make them very presentable and if no one else makes them for your army you use them! lol

I certainly was wondering about the scale, good to know they're 20mm. The bulkiness implied metal, but didn't think of 20mm metal... doh :? 20 of them most be a great sight!
and I get paired with "Germans on Horses" ... lol!
