This is a project started many years ago, probably the best travelled unfinished army ever?
These were bought in Lincolnshire, started in Norfolk(about 1999/2000) moved to Scotland(2002) sent to France(2007) returned from France (2017) and repaired/glued (2018)
2nd edition plastic skeletons and 1st edition plastic empire(?)
Also some putty/sculpting to try and bring together the empireish feel.
Also made a unit of skeleton cavalry using armoured plastic horses and skeletons
Ran out of Empire bits and could use some more skeleton bits if anyone has any spare?
Lots of metals to follow as well as 1st edition skeletons to repair/paint

Magnificent! I really like what you did here. These guys have so much character!
-
As a long time builder of undead legions I follow with interest

:-* :-* :-*
They look great, what an idea!!
-
Good job! really nice conversions! A great inspiration for my "someday-is-gonna-happen" oldhammer undead army project
-
What a great idea!
-
GREAT idea and conversions there, CONGRATULATIONS! :-*
Hope this project really takes off now! ;)
-
Very nice conversions there!
-
Oh yeah, I'm loving these conversions. Can't wait to see where this goes!
-
Lovely, have always been meaning to do this some day. Excellent work!
-
A classic project. Very cool to see somebody actually do this today!
-
Oh this takes me back.
I did an army like this back in the day when the Empire plastics were brand new. I sold it off years ago. Now I kind of wish I hadn't..
-
Most excellent! :o
I will be shamelessly copying your conversion ideas for my own skeleton force as I have plenty of Empire bits and Undead bits as well.

Painted one unit.
Still need some shileds ( sculpting those to fit in with 'decayed' look)
Standard needs added
Base edges need painting ( probably black)

Fan-Tastic.
For the base sides, I'd suggest very dark grey or brownish grey instead of black out of the bottle. It would echo with the milled ground they're treading & rising from. Just an idea.

These are marvelous. The remnants of landsknecht dress make them much more interesting than the "bare-bones" version of skeletons
