A large game in 16th century Sengoku Japan that we played last Saturday at CLIPP games festival near Pontivy (Brittany) on a 3.60 x 1.80 m table. There were 9 players and a GM.

Special mention to the rice terraces that one of our players had just finished a few days before!

Nice table setup and I love the terraces. :)
-
I'll second the praise of your rice paddy terraces. Great looking table.
-
I agree- the terraced rice paddies are excellent.
-
Would love to see other S.E Asian armies in that setting
-
Super terrain, but where are the armies?
-
Those terraces!!! :-* :-* :-* :-*

Wow! C'est magnifique! Does Denis have a blog? How did he model the rice plants?

Visited, thanks. I'd still expect rather a lot of regiments on a set-up that's clearly received so much attention.

Thanks guys. :)

Denis has no blog, he doesn't like to write much on internet (even on our own forum). The rice plants are modelling tufts with artificial water poured around them. He says that at first he wanted to use coir broom bristles but he realised that the time of work would be insane and it would never have been finished in time.
I'd still expect rather a lot of regiments on a set-up that's clearly received so much attention.
Yes I understand. It's because our gaming taste and system is RPG-style skirmish and negociations. The troops are 20-30 strong (or even only 2, a ronin and henchman) moving fast on the table, entering the villages, fighting inside the houses if necessary...

Superb Euthanasor ! Bravo l'ami :-*
-
Merci Byblos.

Um, I took the liberty to write "Thanks guys" in a previous post, but Euthanasor has been doing all the scenario and hard work, he was the GM in this game, I just was one of the players. :)
...and a defeated player, and I had to do seppuku after I was defeated! :?
-
What an impressive table. You have it all there, village, town, bridge over river, rice paddies. Awesome!

Looks like you got better. ;)

Very nice looking game indeed. I too love the terraced rice paddies.
-
Wow, that was an impressive game! I think the large Sengoku title may have led folks to think it was a mass battle game. It was pretty though.
Very nicely done!

Um, yes, perhaps I'm not very efficient with post titles, sorry. :)
I just meant that it was large by our own standards: one GM and 9 players, and a rather large table and terrain.

Love the terraces. Images saved for future reference!
