Title: Deus Vuly playtest
Post by: Rogerc on 29 January 2018, 09:25:28 PM
Had a quick fun playtest of Deus Vult at Castle Riley home of the Yarkshire Gamer. Initial thoughts and pictures of the lovely figures now on the blog.

Aha! Found the blog! Your desert mat has an interesting ripple pattern - how had you made it?

I do like that rippling sand effect too. Its a commercially bought matt which was cut to size for Kens table. I can find out the manufacturer if you like?

Glad to see someone else using Deus Vult! My group has just started having a few games with it and we are finding it interesting. Think once we get into it all the 'front end' stuff will make for a thoughtful and layered game.

I'm always surprised it gets so few mentions on the forum, I'm never sure if its because it isn't well thought of or just not had the exposure of other rules

I know what you mean, The Lion Rampant set and others get a lot of write up where this doesnt. We enjoyed it so I ma hoping to get more stuck into the components of the rules and see what sort of game we can produce. More to follow I am sure.
