other stolen ideas include the coke cans, from kishumen on the terragenesis forum, one of which has exploded and its post nuclear waste has flown out. and a newspaper from some link ages ago.
Any c&C welcome.

they're very dark... alot of black showing through under the drybrushing
must admit don't think I noticed the paintballing on Akkies... :)

Someone ought to teach those punks a lesson :P. Why is the nuclear holocaust news paper so blurry though? Great details on the base and whatnot :).
Mmm, Nuka Cola, warm and flat.

TW, Can I make a suggestions?? I will anyway? ;D
You can paint the whole eyes in light grey-green (without the pupils). I think it would give them a "more dead" look. lol

hehe i had to superglue the paper down, thats why its fuzzy, i call it "on purpose" hehe.
as for the eyes will do. i agree.

They look fine as a base but the painting is rather crude. I think the drybrush straight over the black undercoat makes them a bit too dark (even the white shirt has black shading). I think it would look better if you basecoated all the parts first and then drybrushed them in a lighter colour. That way the black won't shine through and they will look less grubby, while taking only a little extra time. Also, when glueing printed paper signs take care not to get them too wet, or in the case of written signs write with stuff that doesn't dissolve in water (permanent marker or just regular paint). Hope this helps and thanks for posting.

i'll try to get a "how they look to the eye" shot next time. the photograph was taken with no back lighting at about 5 inches and a flash. (on macro)
i hope to paint up at least another base this weekend (i think i have 11 but since its jsut a painting adventure not for gaming i don't plan to rush it)
