For those interested the latest forged in Battle/west wind Kickstarter for the expansion of their ancients through to dark ages range is up.
Beautiful minis - I've painted quite a chunk from the earlier ranges.

Thanks Rory. They do look good, given the scale. Guessing the Arab infantry may be joining your 15mm desert fantasy collection? ;)

Haha yes that's the one I'm most excited for *though* it does also offer a good chance to start a wee dark ages collection - there's no great 15mm dark ages range to my mind (sorry Baueda!!) I'm going pretty heftily in to this one, at least I know what I'm painting in 2019!

Sorry, right you are - your vikings do look pretty.
The kickstarter's just passed the VERY EXCITING £27.5k mark... Arabs inbound!

I would certainly agree, though Splintered Lights also comes to mind. They seem rather big, but have some nice characters.

Oh yes, I didn’t remember just how many codes you have.

Buildings have just been added, which look pretty excinting.
I'm backing this to get hold of the arabs and the sudanese, but I'm upping it a chunk to get hold of a whole dark ages set too. Guess I know what I'm working on next year!

Oooooh, the buildings do look good... that’s a Cimmerian village right there ;)

On the Campaign page they said they will stop at Malazgirt so maybe they will do Turks? The Arabs look great!

Given there are Thematic Byzantine and Arab armies I am a little disappointed there isn't a Late Sassanid army listed. :-I

Although I don't have the figures, from the pictures on their website the clibanarii appear to be mostly based on the Khosrau II momument.

Haha well, controversially I think there's a good chance I might use them as intended... I feel a 2019 Saxons vs. Vikings project forming!!
