I helped out a bit at the East Leeds participation game at York Wargames Show Vapnartak on Sunday. Cracking game representing in a small way Actium the galley fight in which Antony and Cleopatra were defeated.
little write up and pictures on the blog.

Great report, thanks for sharing. Gutted I didn’t get to my local show this year.
Would you mind asking Chris where the galleys are from?

Fantastic!
All you need now is more ships, and more troops, and more, sea and more, and more, and more...

A great idea for a participation game and fantastic looking models.

Thanks gents, as we each had a ship each the number of ships was just about right, albeit that it represent hardly even a slice of the real battle.
That said can you imagine it on a 24 foot table with 2 dozen ships per side, aggghhh get thee behind me!
Thanks for the comments.
