Hmmmmmmmmm...difficult...quality versus quantity.
I like the look and feel of the swarm of the first one. It really gives that feeling of a surging horde of critters. The colors work well too. I don't like the unpainted gravel on the bases as it makes them look somewhat unfinished and I think the name of your entry is really dull ;)
So in the end quality won it for me. Although they look slightly rushed for the infamous Orctrader, the warm colors, the terrific miniatures and perfect photography win it for me.

I think the name of your entry is really dull ;)
Maybe I should have put the title as: "Rush Job (pun intended)"
For who don't get it: [wiki]zergling rush[/wiki]
I normally don't use gravel, but when I bought these guys, the basing stuff was already glued to on and after (re-)painting the minis I just made sure all bases looked the same. The colours in the gravel were actually chosen to complement the colours on the nids. Aah well can't please 'm all ;)
At least I hope Orctraders hunters will feel a bit like prey when meeting these guys ;D

DOH!!! :D. Didn't even see the terrible pun in the title :D
Okay, in hindsight, your title is cool ;)

Braxandur is the king of bad puns, you could've known ;)
I voted for the 'nid rush because it really does look like an imposing horde and the Lictor adds the extra touch it needs (without it it would have been dull). The jungle setting also works well. Orctrader's entry is neat and nice as always but somewhat less intimidating 8)

I really like the bone/claws colours in the first photo. But the green skin tone looks a bit plain (Maybe the photo). I think the picture is too busy as well and you can?t see some of the detail.
I afraid I have to vote for Orctrader?s as well. Love the skin on the guy on the left and as usual a lovely clear picture where you cab see the great brush work.

Very difficult one. Both are great pics and excellent painting. What's great as well is the similarity in colour shades which makes it difficult to vote.
Orc traders skin colours are amazing and I really dig the two guys on the left - as well a subtle arry of shades of green.
But unfortunately I'm very much addicted to aliens of all kinds. Even if they are produced by Big Brother. So there my heart's blood goes as well as my vote.
Apart from that personal preference orctrader would have got my vote for his amazing handling of colours.
Cheers and good luck

WOW...two really great entries!! This will be a hard decision to make. Good luck to you both. Excellent work.

Tough choice. I like them both, but think that the excellent highlights on the Safari cinch it for me.
-
OT, you are of course a great painter but I'm a bit suprised you seem to repeat the same green on three models, so in doubt, I will be true to myself and vote for the one with a background (and a funny name !)

I didn't - they are all different, but two are quite close.

Excellent Pulps Orc, got my vote. :-*
Sorry Braxandur, I just don't "do" monsters ;)
