I've been putting together Dragon Rampant forces from the different fantasy figures we make at North Star. The first one was our plastic Frostgrave Gnolls, the 2nd was the plastic Barbarians for Frostgrave and then the Halflings by Copplestone Castings.
When the Halfling army was finished, I remembered my chum Dirk at ESLO scenery did some splendid Hobbit Holes, so I got in touch and ordered 4 of them.
The Hobbits have had to defend Hobbiton now from many different foes at the Lenton Gamers club, it was Oathmark Goblins last night.
Normally the games are photographed with my camera phone, but not long back I got Wargames Illustrated to do some decent photos of a Gnoll Invasion of Hobbiton. Hope you like them.

Just epic!

Those with a keen DR eye might note there was some figure placement for the pictures sake that is illegal in the rules.
We've had a few Gnoll invasions, it stands at 2-1 to the Hobbits at the moment.
Below is a picture using my phone of last nights Goblin attack.

Very nice. The scenery is great and really looks like hobbiton.

Great-looking models and scenery!

Ha love the Gnolls vs Hobbits it's like a slightly weird version of the Scouring of the Shire lol
-
Lovely set up, the hobbit holes look great. I like the look of those gnolls too.
-
The White Wolf invasion of the Shire was one of those scenarios I wanted to do for years, Wolves running up and down hedgerowed lanes eating Hobbits lol
Never did it, but this came pretty close.
-
Very impressive scenery, the whole thing looks great.
-
As others have said, amazing scenery and some of the best photography I've seen so far. The miniatures are outstanding.

Okay, hands up. Not my painting.
The Gnolls were done by the stalwart North Star regular Mr Dave Woodward, and the Halflings by Artmaster Studios. I get to play with them.

Splendid set-up and figures!
Have you ever considered stocking the ESLO hobbit holes alongside the other things you have from their range? Or is there some IP or rights issue or other?
Not, of course, that I need any hobbit holes... but as we all know, that's no reason not to think about getting some...
-
I'm not sure what happened with the Hobbit Holes. We used to stock them, then we didn't, and in that period they disappeared off their catalogue. When I wanted some, I emailed Dirk to ask, and he said 'no problem' and made them specifically.
So I think you have to ask.

Good to know, thanks.

Gotta love them Gnolls.

Very cool! (Both the orc and gnoll versions)
