This was a tough one but in the end I went for Calimero's entry because of his usual; cleanness whereas the white on the first entry seems a bit rough in some places. Nevertheless the Tsar model in the first entry looks really good.

Both entries seem to be lacking a bit in the shading/highlite department but a painted very neat.
Good job guys! You also made me wish (again) for a both button. The 2nd entry won by just a slight margin.

I think the first entry suffers a bit because of the posing of the figures. Almost everyone is in profile or has their backs three quarters turned to the camera. Simply rotating the figures outward a little bit to reveal a bit more of the detail would have made a stronger entry IMHO.

I think you're right Heldrak. Photography obviously isn't my strong point, I tried the inserting detailed pics within the main pic but it didn't work. Oh well it's the taking part that counts.
Good job on the Askari Calimero

Thanks Sterling Moose,
The funny thing is that I think about voting for your entry for a while… I might have if the figures were facing the camera. I think it would’ve been a "more dynamic" entry that way…
BTW, Are you from Canada too?

Calimero,
Hopefully I can count on your vote in future rounds, when I'll try to do a better with the pics ;)
BTW, Are you from Canada too?
Yep, London, Ontario.

I doubted for this one for a while but in the end voted for number one. I like the way the miniatures are presented. It feels like a story and you can look at it for several miniatus, thinking the story. Nice one! I also like the variety of the first one a lot.
