Title: Huzzah! Flintloque Elf
Post by: Svennn on May 12, 2009, 10:32:20 AM
Just for my own amusement I took this guy in the bare metal and spent 45 minutes on him to get to this

Looks great.  45 minutes?  Takes me longer than that to get them out of the blisters.  :(

That is real lead adventure. I have a couple of those sitting somewhere in the drawers at home.

Nice painting even if you had not mentioned your time limit. And that makes it even better.

Had a lot of painting sessions with Elves and dark elves from the Flintlogue game.

It would take me three hours spread out over five weeks to achieve that!  Seriously!  I have to figure out a faster painting technique.    :(

I painted one of these chaps years ago for an RPG - took me a lot longer tha 45 mins and doesn't look half as good! :)

Nice model, though! :)

Thank you kindly. I didn't set out with 45 minutes as a limit - I just went for it to see how fast I could do it. Its very untidy in places as I didn't go back and touch up my mistakes and the base is quite poor as the filler was still damp when I did it. A limited pallette helped but to be honest I rarely spend much more than an hour on anything - I don't have the patience.

Hello!

Great job!. A question, how do you do the yellow/gold zones?

Well done - and I agree with an earlier post - One of the very best figures that AA produce.

I love the Flintloque setting . . . . . why do I hate the figures so much?

:(

because you have been tainted by modern companies.
Some of the older ones are very nice!
Sorry for resurrecting this post, but this is a very, very nice mini Svenn. Excellent job.

I used to have a Ferach army and Undead army many moons ago, the only thing I have kept are the duelists as the rules arent too bad

The new flintloque rules are quite fun and Slaughterloo is an excellent system.
It has it's flaws, but as does every system.

I never played that I think the set I have was by Steve Blease Rank and Vyle IIRC.  The dueling game was around regiments in that universe and was really a one off figure to figure game aways planned on using it for 40mm but never got round to it ::)

Must have missed this one first time around, very nice looking figure and 45 mins very well spent. :)
