I would love to get my hands on a K9 if you have it spare.

PM me a list of the sort of things that you might like in trade and I will see what I can rustle up.

I'd like the werewolves. I have some of all the Dr Who stuff if you'd like to swap?

Is it just the 7 packs they have in or is it other stuff like the ship packs too?

Curses, the local one didn't have any in at the weekend when I nipped in to get some cheap heroclix (and ended up coming out with some kiddies construction kits to mine for scenery, some books for the missus, and a wobbly man... just because).

just the figure packs... the ships I think are still reasonable sellers, they've repackaged them with those deformed Time Squad figures...

I have multiples of everything. :)

excellent...  :D

well, I'm open to Daleks, Autons, an Empty Child, Space Pig? I'd kill for a BTD Ice Lord if you've got one you don't want  :D

Just as I was turning to leave I did espy someone putting out the Dr Who, and ended up spending thirty quid in the works  :o

Might be the case in other branches around the country that they're just getting them in, so probably worth checking back over the weekend...

Was just having a look through some of the ones I picked up ages ago and realised I have a fair few to get shot of if anyone wants them.

From memeory I have a couple of Slitheen, two Krillitane, a Cyberman, a K9, a Martha Jones, three clockwork robots in funky wigs, an Auton, a Dalek Sec hybrid and a couple of Juddoon.

Would ideally swap for a couple of Daleks, or a Mox of Balhoon, but I think people will want to hold on to them, so they will be free to good homes if anyone can make use of them.  :) PM me if you want em.

Just out of curiosity, does anyone know how the Micro Daleks compare size-wise with BTD daleks?

To my old eyes, they are about as good a match as you'll get from two different companies  :D

All these Dr who miniatures I keep seeing on the forum have made me think I would like some of my own.
Some questions if you don’t mind me High jacking your thread a little.
Is there somewhere to look online at these figures?
Is it a range you have to buy in packs where you can’t see the contents?
What are they like for cost?
How well detailed are they?

Black Tree Design do classic series Who stuff...

the MU are bendy plastic... the humans in my opinion are next to useless with little detail (faces) and realistic proportions (very slender) when compared with 28mm figures... the aliens are fine (Daleks in particular... pics of some are on my blog...)

you can buy the mystery sets or try eBay for individuals of the MU stuff... if you're in the UK the Works has the mystery sets dirt cheap at the moment...

When I was in Woolworths at Christmas they had Doctor Who figures in boxed sets. I presume they were the the Micro Universe ones, as they looked about 28mm. But these were packaged like toys, with a big window so you could see what you were getting. Woolworths was closing down and they had loads and loads of them going cheap.

Like an idiot I bought absolutely none. I wasn't really interested in painting Doctor Who figures then, but Anevilgiraffe's lovely stuff is making me wish I had. Oh well.

I would like a K9 if anybody still has a spare, I can't offer any Dr figures in return. :(

I can offer my love and undying affection in return and who could possibly turn that down.....?

Ok, failing that PM me lol

How could such an offer be refused!   lol

I have one ( maybe two) spare.

I'll dig him out and try and get posted ASAP  :)

I got a bunch of Victrix figs to make Ming the Merciless troops with last week. That then morphed to converting them to House Atredies troops (which they do rather well I might add), Tommorow morning I get a bunch of Warlord romans (got em for the heads to go on the Victrix figs to make my Ming dudes.) By tommorow afternoon I'm sure some or all of the romans will be on the cards for something else. Add to that I am also getting another box of victrix guys to make the Rum Corp.

Very intriguing ideas, especially the Atreides troops! I would like to see what becomes of them - unless you get completely sidetracked by something else, of course  lol

Just one of my pet hates - at least, when they are left with black edges. I use them quite a lot, but with the edges textured and flocked etc. As bases they are fine, it's just the way they are used  :)

Really? I prefer the black edge, looks smart and makes the mini stand out as a playing piece... (but then again, personal preference differs for all...)

I agree it makes display pieces look better,  but I find it obtrusive on the table. For me the figure's base is a necessary evil. You have to have it, but the figure looks best if the base is as camouflaged as possible.

But, as you say, we all have our own preferences and having the choice to do as we wish can only be a good thing  :)

I prefer slottas, perhaps because I started with GW figures and stayed with them a long time. I find integrals awkward, and usually remove them and base them on slottas, at least until now, as I'm collecting forces for Sharp Practice and couldn't face reomving 30 integrals from my 95th rifles, 3 boxes of French Naps, two boxes of British etc. I'm using the 20mm square Renedra bases.
