Title: Victory Force?
Post by: Elprez on May 15, 2009, 09:25:21 AM
Does anyone own any Victory Force Miniatures and could they possibly provide a comparison shot with other manufacturers figures (ideally, Artizan/Crusader)?
Found these little jet-pack trooper beauties on their website, but I'm worried they may be a bit small:-

Any help/comments greatly appreciated,
Thanks.

Elprez -

I don't own any myself, but I've got friends in the UK who have them. One of them informs me that Victory Force, as a rule, actually tends to run rather large compared to 28s. Not sure if this is much help, but there ya go.

I play VF for my WWII and have actually shadowed their scale for my company.  They are larger then most but Jim sculpts his minis to a varying degree of height to just simulate the actual varying heights of normal people.  All the weapons and kit are the same size so it stays within the scale range.  Below is a comparison shot for my minis but it has VF as well as several other WWII lines in it.

Hope that helps,

Thanks both for the quick and very useful replies. Appreciated. :)
Comparison shot was very useful, because often its "bulk" rather than the actual height that prevents different manufacturers figures being compatible.
Looks like they'll sit fine alongside the figures I have.

KC - Some lovely figures on your site too (damn! :D). Nice & unusual. Might have to get Herr Skull and the luftfaust figure now. ;D
Any idea when you'll have pics of the war dogs?

Thanks for the biz and I think you will be happy with Jim's VF stuff, he is really a talented sculptor and great guy with excellent service.

The war dogs are being worked on as we speak and will consist of 2 Russian bomb dogs, and 3 general guard/scout dogs.  Each mini will come with a rolled up leash that can be glued onto the mini you choose to make handler as if it were attached to their belt.  It's been a bit longer then we had hopped due to some family deaths but we hope to get back on track with releases soon.

Thanks again,
