Not sure whether this is Post-Ape/or or Scimian-Fiction. lol
These are the last minis that are unpainted in my lead pile. So I took three and stashed them in the bits bag so I wouldn’t keel over when these are painted.
15x Lucid Eye Simians, including Caesar.
6x Crooked Dice later/earlier movie types, 3 with rifle, a leader, a clubbed, and a catcher.
2x Crooked Dice mounted later/earlier types with rifles.
1x Crooked Dice Giant Gorilla
I say “redux” because I’ve done many of these before and then sold them on; now I’m putting everything I paint into my cupboard. :D
Here’s the start. More tomorrow.

The figures are Post Apocalypse, you know
because "You finally really did it! YOU MANIACS! YOU BLEW IT UP! AH, DAMN YOU! GOD DAMN YOU ALL TO HELL!!"
.
I look forward to seeing them done.

Thanks! Finished then today in a Planet of the Apes movie-marathon painting session.

Speedy work! Nicely done!
-
They look great! Somehow though I feel like you need a large, black monolith.
-
Nice job.
-
Thanks guys!
Monolith ... or Statue of Liberty ;)

Should this have been in sci fi maybe?

I thought about it when the thread first appeared. I usually defer to the person who started the topic unless it's blatantly out of place. Recognizing that the book is different and more distinctly sci-fi, I guess it is because of the original movie's iconic end I always thought of the 'Planet of the Apes' franchise/genre as post-apocalypse.

That was my argument - the end of the movie.
Besides ... Ape-pocalypse lol

I like these a lot.
The films I quite enjoyed, but there was a marked drop in quality I thought with each successive films, a record eventually topped by The Matrix.
PS. Definitely post-apoc.

Cheers Cubs, thanks. The films are really hit and miss; mostly miss. But the inspiration for gaming is there!
