Does anyone know the right Vallejo color for Coyote Brown?
Or even a GW color?
-
Model colour US Field drab is suggested by some people.

If you mean the color of a coyote (?), then most browns and a lot of grays will work. If you mean something else, I have no idea. The animal comes in a variety of color combinations.

Coyote Brown is the color for USMC web gear and vests. I don't mean the real animal. :)

Desert Yellow #977 or Sand Brown #876.

Desert Yellow #977 or Sand Brown #876.
Comparing to photos of items in Coyote Brown (never heard of that before, but then again I'm not too much into ultramoderns), I would agree that Sand Brown #876 looks like a very close match. Alternatively, use English Uniform #921 as a base.
I would use Desert Yellow only for highlights and maybe combine it with the Army Painter Soft Tone; I'm a big fan of Desert Yellow, but IMHO, it has a much more yellowish tinge than the samples of Coyote Brown I've seen would suggest.

Based off of the painting guide in Force on Force's Enduring Freedom I used English Uniform #921 washed with Army Painter Strong Tone high lighted with the English Uniform and then final highlights with EU and a few of the sand colors for a bit of wear difference on the gear

I’m on the side of this : English Uniform, then Sand Brown with highlight of Desert Yellow for edging.
