Title: VD general question

Hi folks,

we like and play VD Raid a lot.

Now we are planning to play the original VD Game.

After a quick read through one question came up from all of us: Is it possible to split a Squad in 2 parts and give each part a separate order?

E.g. a German 10 men squad is split in 2 parts - 2 men as a LMG-Team and the rest gathering around the NCO. Is it possible to give the LMG-Team a Fire-Order and the other Team an Assault order?

Thanks for the kind comments and your interest.

Splitting squads is not permitted as written.
BUT I strongly encourage you to do it!


Option 1: P.72 "Drop Team 2 for – 70 points." Done :)

Option 2:  Just split them as you you like but keep P. 10
"3.3 Unit Coherency and Leadership Distance
Every unit in a game of „Victory Decision: World War II“ has a leader. The leader is the model with the highest Leadership Characteristic. If all models have the same Leadership Characteristic, just choose one in the initiative segment."
in mind! Not much of a difference since the Unteroffizier and Obergefreiter both have a Ld of 5!
