Tonight's game was a three hander with Meirion55,Jeff956 and myself, using the above rules and the Capture the gun scenario from the rulebook. We used my Mutiny collection, hence the battle reference , as the scenario reminded me of the action in my post header.
Meirion55 and Jeff965 took the British and myself the mutineers.
Pic 1 the gun and its crew on a hill. The barrels we used as gun reload markers.
Pic 2 Cpt.Harry Carry and his men.
Pic 3 Sgt.Major Will Williams and his men.
Pic 4 Cpt.Carry and his lads clear a wall of its defenders.
Pic 5 British troops carry the hill and kill the gun team to a man.
Good fun had by all
We rolled on the Traits table too, with the good Captain getting Stone killer and Weakling(we reasoned he's had a bout of Malaria).
Sgt.Major Williams got Hard as Nails and Slow (we reasoned he has an old leg wound which restricts his movements).
I must also thank BaronVonJ for his prompt replies to my emails asking for some scenario clarifications :)
Thanks for looking in.
Cheers
Keith

Smashing!
What game is this? Could you flesh out those initials, for those of us who aren't quite up with the times? FfoL H and M? That's quite a mouthful. :)
-
@Jeff: we talked a bout "The men who would be king"-rules. Are these rules better??? Easier to handel?

Of course :)
It's Fistful of Lead Horse and Musket rules from Wiley Games but available in the UK via one of our own members, Oshiromodels. :)
Thanks for commenting. :)

Thanks Nick :)
Oh I don't know about this scenario for Blam :?
Seems there are enough of this type of game scheduled already? :)
We have been trying out the rules to be a little familiar with them as we thought there may be a "Fistful of Lead" theme this year ;) :)
Looking forward to it :)

Pre-BLAM rules familiarisation. Very wise. :D
Looks like you had fun 8)

Yes to both lol
Couple more pictures from last night's game.
The two groups of sepoys defending the gun and Sgt.Williams boys advancing into the cannon's mouth!
It was a large game and in hindsight we would probably have benefitted from a fourth player to help move things along a little :)
Still good fun though :)

Excellent!! It looked a great game and some exquisite painting on those minis.

Thanks Gary :)
I'm afraid I can't take credit for the minis but I did paint the gun and barrels! Lol.

Plynkes and Nurgle
Fistful of Lead: Horse & Musket is the outgrowth form my original Wild West game, Fistful of Lead. Been around a looooooong time, but suddenly catching on, thanks mostly to the BLAM guys.
Much smaller scale than say, Sharpe Practice or Men Who Would Be Kings, making it much easier to hop into a period. Each player only controls about 5-6 miniatures. I regularly host 8 player games that are over in 2 1/2 hours. Much shorter with fewer players. Great 1 v1 games but really shines as a larger game. I guess you could class them as beer & pretzels but most people find it's got a bit more tactics hidden in it.
Comprehensive review here: https://meeples.wordpress.com/2017/07/05/review-fistful-of-lead-reloaded/
But a search around LAF will show some different games from different periods.
I'm crossing the pond to be at BLAM in a couple of weeks. I'll have books/cards if you can't get them from OSHIRO.
