Cheers, and yes they are a pain, ive found washing them in warm soapy water helps, but I have a few undercoated in my to be painted pile, and the plastic seems to just attract dust that doesnt want to come off.  >:(

Not so much a problem for paint adhesion, I found, but the dratted things kept springing away at the touch of a brush point!

Good job with those kids. Why all three on the same base though? So that they 'equal up' to an adult, or something? Still don't own Peter & Katie yet, myself.

East Ridding

Be prepared to sculpt him a new left hand though, it's strangley absent on the cast I have, nice mini though, and cheap as chips

Oh and nice band of hunters, very gritty :)

Thanks all.

There are problems with East Ridings castings, heads squashed, detail missing, and enormous cast bases....some are so thick you will need an industrial grinder to smooth them down.

I just got a bunch of east riding figures, they are nice, tall ,kind of like reaper and a bit thin but not so as you would really notice. All in all nice for the price.

Best raise quality issues with the company directly though to be honest in the first instance rather than fire and forget on a forum???
Title: Re: Zombie Hunters
Post by: hubbabubba on December 22, 2010, 06:59:40 PM
To be honest C.V. I disagree.
Companies should have some kind of quality control, it's not up to the customer to go chasing them up after the sale.
This is especially true with sales over the 'tinternet, where a company's reputation becomes all the more important, they need to damn well make an effort to look after their reputaion.
None of the above is particularly directed at East Ridding by the way. :)
This is true for both product quality, and customer service. There are a number of companies who have products which I'd like to order, but don't because of their lousy reputation for customer service. The fact that the miniature business is a cottage industry in many ways, is no excuse for second rate products or poor customer service.

To ere is human.

So what you're saying is if a 'rogue' bad cast got through to sales, better to talk about it on a forum without contacting the company in the first instance and give the company an opportunity to put it right?  Sorry will have to disagree on that. Never said anything about excuses for second rate product, this is more about people not ruining a company, (any companies reputation for that matter big or small unnecessarily).

If Alex for example had a dogy LAM cast go out, surely it would be better for the customer and the company, for the buyer to contact them and have the issue sorted out.

If you don't get appropriate resolution then by all means name and shame, but doing it the other way round.... you don't even give them the chance to give you good customer service, so no thanks, i'll continue to buy my miniatures, and if I have any problems ask the seller to address in the first instance.

The Commander.
