:o :o :o :o :o
When I saw the first entry I said, "WOW!!! How on earth did you do the liquid inside the tanks? That looks absolutely awesome!! Please share. What a photo.... Amazing, simply amazing!!"
Then I scrolled down to the second entry, and my mouth fell open again!! The photo almost made those figures look real and not miniatures...great job.
Captain Blood, can I choose both?? Pleasssseeee!!!
Best of luck to both of you...you both deserve to win....now I have to try and decide :'(

:-*
Two awesome entries from two of my favorite competitors!
-
One more reason for a 'Both' button. I don't even know which to vote for.
-
Admiral, you are a genius! Cool, cool, super-f*#$in'-cool!

No doubt. :-*
If I had a cap, I'd be tipping it to you...
-
You want me to choose just ONE of these two?
They're both original, awesome paint and scenery, and great photos & editing.
I seriously am going to flip a coin. Can't decide otherwise!
-
Good grief!
I went by my preferred topic, no way to decide otherwise. Grand show. 8) 8) 8)

Two AWESOME entries - had to go with the Admirals inspired piece
-
I have no idea how to vote here. o_o
What are those monster minis? Never seen them before.

I just noticed the Giger-esque background of the monsters. It reminded me of some 'Amera-like' sheets of thin plastic moulded to use for the interior of xenomorf hives and the likes that I had in the games shop where I worked some 10 years ago.... sadly, I do not recall weho made/makes them.... anyone having an idea what I'm talking about???
EDIT:
The Force is strong with this one ;)
I just googled and found:
http://www.netwide.net/users/itchy/sfsupply/wild.htm
I dont know if they're available, though.... ???
-
whoa
actually I think they are real and there are some really annoyed africans stuck to bases :D
excellent both
-
this is one of the toughest choices I had voting.
I flipped the coin!
EXCELLENT both entries!
-
Is that a bit of geiger in the background ?
cool
-
Tellus, brilliant entry - amazing photo!
Some infos for my entry:
Figures f.l.t.r.: Metal Magic Dunwich Detective monster; Asgard alien figure by Nick Bibby (really old ...); Rafm Cthulhu hound; Citadel horror fig (not sure about it ...); centre miniature is the Sludge Gulper from Heresy sculpted by Kev White.
Tanks are Containment Units/Bacta Tanks from Tony Colasante (Ebay: tonygriffon) filled with clear resin from german model railroad company Noch (2K Wasser-Gel).
Background from a Giger-book.
Thanks for all your nice comments.

Great Job Admiral :o
All that kind comments made the effort worth, thank you!
-
OMG I can't decide. Both entries are amazing.
The variety of figures used in the first entry, somehow tied together with a similar theme and paint scheme, plus the work of the resin tanks? Wow.
But the second pic looks like a still photo from a film!! Lovely bases, perfect skin tones, simple but effective and evocative background...
Yeesh...
Fantastic work on both! :-* :-* :-*

Unless I miss my guess, the Giger image is one from his "train" series from a dream sequence illustration unused in Alien? You selected that because of the horizontal pattern in the artwork serving as a less distracting background?
Outstanding brushwork as well, both of you.

Both great entries indeed! Fantastic work on the fabric again Tellus, as well as on the horse (and the skin and the scenery ;)). And of course the admiral's entry is another real treat! The only thing I don't like too much is the base used as a manhole, it just sticks out of the floor too much IMO. Other than that great brushwork and a very inspiring entry.
