Comrades, I have just finished my version of the second cohort of Legio III 'Gallica' in 28mm (save for base texturing). I departed from building my Legio XI so I have an optional enemy for my new year's game when I get back to Canberra over the break. These little fighters have a new feature for me - I made my own decals. For more on that subject and what I learnt along the way, please follow the link to my Unlucky General blog. https://unluckygeneral.blogspot.com/2018/12/caesarian-romans-cohort-ii-legio-iii.html (https://unluckygeneral.blogspot.com/2018/12/caesarian-romans-cohort-ii-legio-iii.html)

They look good. :-* :-*
Well done on the shield design. :)
May i ask where the roman wonded is from?

Thanks. The casualty figures are metal and is from one of the Warlord Games supplementary packs -Caesarian Casualties. The helmet on the ground beside the crawling wounded figure is just one of the plastic heads with the head drilled out.

I was following along. When you said the backgrounds went white and not to panic, what did you do to get that to go away? Did it just fade as they dried, or did the microsol take it out, or what?
Nice job. Those are some great looking legions.

Thank you for the info. :)
I will check the packs.

Aphilathehun,
A coat of varnish makes the backing paper become translucent. The white disappears. The manufacturer recommends gloss but I used Matt.
