Title: Advanced Song of Blades and Heroes Christmas Special
Post by: Battle Brush Sigur on 21 December 2018, 09:59:21 PM
Heyhey, last night we had our first Very Special Christmas Game(tm).

Here's my AAR of the whole affair:

5 players (3 in the latter half of the game due to bedtime), good fun. Temporarily winterized terrain and such. And just a really, really nice game. Hope you enjoy the report!

That looks a great game! Tough going for the evil side with everybody Q4, but I suppose the troll's Leader trait helped a bit. And actually, evil Q4 vs good Q3 seems a fundamental fall-back principle for Song of Blades.

Superb board and set-up all round!

Thanks very much!

The Q3 on the good guys as fine, because the kids played on the good side too, and I think moving is more fun than not moving anyway. :D I didn't know that this was a pattern that's seen often. In my other ASoBH games I usually used Q4 for pretty much everything, maybe with the exception of a character (and the goodies I think often get a leader).

Speaking of which - yeah, the Leader thing did help. I just used the guy really unwisely. No, I mean that nasty troll was so greedy that he ran off to one flank and rummaged around in a house forever instead of helping activation. :p

Wow! Looks like a nice game, only right that good should triumph in the end, I think. What a fun board and beautiful models!
