There's a lot of shanties not unlike that one hiding all over here especially near the highway all its way to the prairies. Excellent start.

What did you use for the grass on the roof and beside the building?

It looks very realistic, much more real than most modelling grass!

It is of the herb for designer.
Fibers are bigger and stuck on a net.
I bought it about ten years ago, in the lounge(show) of the model (door from Versailles to Paris). I believe that it is about the mark JPP, but I think that since the time, we must be able to find in department stores of modéles. there it seems to me that the mark " Busch " in fact also.

Thank you for the links, always on the look out for more forms of flock. Great structure, worthy of any pioneer.

Sorry for reviving an old post, but I have a couple of specific questions.

Did you use balsa wood dowel rods for the tree trunks?  What did you use to color the wood?

I'm looking at building some earth and timber redoubts and what you made is just about how they need to look.

Thanks for the help!

The roof is made of balsa sticks and the walls with great matches. for painting is of dark oak wood stain acrylic brand Lefranc & Bourgeois
