Title: Chariots rampant Egyptians versus Northern barbarians.

After a long gap we managed another Bronze age game at the club the other night. A force of barbarians have landed undetected and stolen an artifact from a tomb.

Somebody better contact customs and excise

Lord Amerotke has brought up a blocking force of two units of Fierce foot and a unit of archers. Also a newly painted unit of fleet foot. Still waiting on javelins for these.

Decided to lead with my new unit which is always a mistake. Saying that due to very poor dice throws I had no choice. In no time at all the fleet foot had been hammered by archery then charged and forced to retreat into the palm trees.

Lord Amerotke tried to bring up the rest of his force but found himself isolated with one unit of fierce foot. the inevitable happened and they were charged and routed taking the Lord with them.

Another round of archery saw the fleet foot disappear as the name suggests very quickly.
A morale check meant that the rest of the force decided to retire.

Who are these strange foreign villains and who are they working for?

Luckily the Medjay are on their trail and will be joined with Lord Amerotke as soon as he stops running.

Looks like fun! I love that Foundry Bronze Age range.

Great looking game. I'm only now coming to the Rampant series of games with Rebels and Patriots, but I can see how they are really flexible.

You know you need a dwarf on Amerotke's command stand right?  :D

It was a good game and to be fair if they don't want their stuff liberated and reused they shouldn't leave it lying around for my northern explorers to find ;D
