Wow Malebolgia! :o, Mr. Lovecraft would be pleased... :-*
Great bases too

What he said. Super.

Mal' your entry is beautifully painted but they are rather monochrome... Even some subtle gradations between individuals would have made for a stronger entry IMHO ;)
-
Yeah, I agree, they're quite monotonous. Although there are some subtle glazes on them, they get washed out in the photo. I added some small dots to their backs and the sides of their heads but they aren't visible in the photos. In addition, the setting wasn't the best choice because the colors get washed out. A background with a contrasting color would have been better.
But it's no shame losing from Bugsda's entry. Still one of my favorites of last round. Love the bold colors!!

Who makes those fish men?!

But they are to expensive IMHO

Jup, I can understand that :). But I think they are the absolute best Deep Ones you can find. I just love Paul Muller's sinewy style and it fits Deep Ones very well. The ridges on their back and tail and general look fits very well with how I imagine Deep Ones.
Oh yeah, and Wyrd miniatures is one of the nicest companies around :). Awesome customer service and supercheap shipping ($5 on a $100 order!)

As the Daimyo have been seen before, they are nicely painted.
The new entry is simply amazing. The shading and colours are very nicely done, but the bases really are incredible...WOW!!

No question Mal's was a very strong entry :-*
While I love the work that Bugs' did on his figures, the beautiful vibrant colors and the exquisite detail (they've gotten my vote each round) I've never much like the Dixon range of Samurai figures- They always seem squat and poorly-proportioned to me. Imagine what Bugs' might have achieved with the (IMHO far superior) Perry Bros. range of Samurai... :-* :-* :-*
