The Meteors :-* way to go Grimm
-
This one was a tough call, but I had to go with Grimm in the end because I thought his piece has a stronger narrative.
P.S. Grimm, the ritual by where a new gang member has to get the snot beaten out of them by the existing gang members as a rite of passage is called "jumping in" ;)
-
Hi ! Tought choice.
Who is the maker of the "Grease" gangers miniatures ?
-
cool, my vote made it neck and neck :)
both really good entries but like lowtardog, had to go with the wreckin' crew :D
-
Too close to call really - I had to choose by subject matter!
-
I voted for atomic cafe as i don't think the really beautiful other entry meets the LPL restrictions of 5 minis miimum - at least the horse should be counted as one.
-

??? Looks "Game Legal" to me. In fact, it must be as the Captain has put it up.
Two fantastic entries. Difficult choice.

it's legal

The Greaser figure are from Brigade Games http://www.brigadegames.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Category_Code=BGAC57
It’s a good thing that the second entry is legal because I voted for it… ::)
That was a tough choice mind you. ;D
-
Whoa!
A battle of titans!
Well done to both!
-
WOW!! This one is too close to decide...guess I have to get the coin out!! Good luck to you both!!
-
Very nice entrys both, but Tellus creates another very atmospheric scene here, and I'm glad it fits to the 5 figs rule. Well, it's no longer a walk in the park with matches within the top ten only, so this might be ending in another draw? But that's better than being mauled badly like me this round ... :'(
-
The LPL drive me into madniss it is to thrilling for me .
Tellus I love you stuff it is fantastic and for me it is a clear legal entry good luck .
Lowtardog ,MuleSkinner good to see that there are still some Psychobillys out there :D
meteors are not a 50ths band but as I see the brute I immediately think wecking cew .
Grimm
-
Both are very good.

Yay another ex-Psychobilly?

How about just reading the rules????They're not in the vault, they're just a click away!
@Grimm,
thank you mate, good luck to you too!Good job as well!
-
Two equally great entries...
In the end I voted for the greaser, just for the subjekt. :? (Sorry Tellus!)
Love the Chucks! ;D

To repeat, at least five figures following a single, distinct theme.
You mean these? I know the rules and wouldn't critisize an entry without consulting them.
The only thing NOT acceptable as part of a team is any type of terrain, which may only be used as a "backdrop" for your entry photography. Other than that, you may enter any assembly of miniatures, including humans, aliens, monsters, animals, robots, vehicles, ships, aircraft, spacecraft etc., or a combination thereof, for example a team of humans and animals or of humans and a vehicle (or multiple vehicles). The ONLY stipulation being that the team must follow a consistent theme.
Animals count, but I would take the horse and leader as one miniature (as would be a mounted rider). The Prof counts them as two, so there's no more discussion.
-
Wether is the horse mounted nor is the Chap in front of it its rider, so I can't see your point at all. What you say is not even close to the rules.
-
The Prof counts them as two, so there's no more discussion.
-
Indeed, no need for further conversation as the entry has been ruled legal by the Prof. himself.
It is pretty obvious in this case that Tellus has taken a great deal of effort to paint his animals, and they look stunning.

You don't have to shush me!

Exactly. Guys, please feel free to use the PM feature to clarify the rest.

Great stuff Grimm, I spent much of the 70s walking around dressed and armed in exactly the same fashion lol :-*
Excellent colonials Tellus and at any other time would've got my vote :)
-
Hey Grimm, great entry. I also loved the Meteors on the brutes shirt. What make are the 2 hot rods I see in the background? I am trying to find some 50's style rods for my game. Grease for peace. :D
-
I expect to see these at the Blam Grimm ;D if not the models at least our Teutonic contingent with Quiffs galore ;)

Have a look at Ebay
Try JADA 1/64....they are about 1/55 so match well with the 28mm figures

Hot Wheels 08 CUSTOM CLASSICS '57 CHEVY BEL AIR 1/50 scale
(http://i9.ebayimg.com/08/i/000/f5/75/8132_1.JPG)
goes well with heroic 28's - 32mm figures
Jada 1/64 ( really 1/55) stuff goes well with the period or the newer 1/50 hotwheels if you like stuff a little bigger
I found some on Ebay
-
@Bugsda 70s ?! so you are more teddy boy have seen the young crazy cavin ? :)

-
