Title: Info on Navwar?
Post by: fastolfrus on 12 February 2019, 11:18:51 PM
Has Navwar closed down?
Or is it just their website that's on the Fritz?

If they have closed, does anyone else in the UK do 1/3000 pre-dreadnoughts?

I googled "Navwar" and the website seems to be functioning fine.

Although, I didn't try to order anything.

I find it bizarre that I cant order online at Navwar - I know this is how things always used to be but in this day and age it just seems odd

I best dig out my cheque book

The owner likes the old way, and won't change it. Besides, for most of my personal orders made over the last 10 years by sending a fax or letter, his stuff arrived faster than almost all UK companies that do sell online. Go figure.

Is there any inside info on whether Navwar has finally closed down? There's been much concern expressed of late on the subject of their unresponsive website.

According to Tony at Navwar via a message on the Pendraken Forum they have not closed. There is a possibly terminal website problem and the guy who coded it for them seems to have gone awol.

The wayback machine has the site archived and the catalogue link works, they are still taking orders as usual.
