I recently finished painting these miniatures, and I am delighted with them. Really easy to paint, and looking really good on the tabletop
First, the 10 trooper kit with assault rifles

I have used a simple urban color scheme with them. Helmet and trousers in Vallejo German Grey. Coat in Vallejo Neutral Grey washed with German Grey. Boots, gloves and mask in Leather Brown and poaches in Beasty Brown, all of them washed with Brown Ink. Weapons and armour are black highlighted in neutral grey.
The command squad

Insignia is based in German insignia from WWII. The Small eagles in the caps intend to pass as Imperial eagles for WH40K and German eagles for Weird War Games.

Heavy weapons teams (missile launchers)

This pic shows the miniatures back. Ammo boxes and the droid crates are painted in Vallejo russian uniform.

I love these minis. It has been really quick to paint them and they have multiple uses. They will be pulp nazis for Amazing War Stories, SWD guards for Incursion, Imperial Guards for WH40K and Terran Marines for Fast and Dirty
This pic shows them near an old GW mini painted in the same color scheme

Grouping the minis, you have a 40K veteran squad...

A command squad...

Or two squads of regulars plus officer for Fast and Dirty

I am about to receive another specialists pack with snipers and heavy lasers. More pics soon.

Lovely paint job and excellent painting scheme! :-*

Very nice, I like the choice of colours, the light brown leather is an excellent choice, it works well against the light grey. :)
-
Like the droid carrying the gear. All good though.
-
Very nice!
I like how you managed to tie theme in with a lot of game systems :)
-
Nice figures, well painted. Enough said.

Well done, Keyan! They look the business! You're absolutely right that these minis can play lots of roles, they have that generic not-Germans look going which is handy for IG, SLA Industries Soft Companies, Weird War, Post-apocalyptic etc. etc. I have a bunch waiting in the wings for painting.

Nice work! Inspires me to re-examine my Pig Iron stuff that has languished in my unpainted minis bin.
-
I really like the color scheme. Very striking yet it seems perfectly appropriate.

very nice

Those are soooo cool.

New pics, slightly out of focus, sorry. I have 700 points of troops for Fast and DIrty with these.
2 light laser troopers. It is a sci-fi weapon generic enough to use it as flamer, grenade launcher or whatever

2 Snipers. I love these!

I simply cannot get myself to like that sniper rifles of Pig Iron. The whole weapon range looks like future hight tech, and then that barrel protrudes from that otherwise well designed rifle...
It doesn't look as bad on the colony milita as on the heavy armour troops though.

I try to avoid threads like this because the Pig Iron stuff really has great character.
It doesn't help when someone like KeyanSark paints them up brilliantly... >:(
