Title: 15mm Successor Battle
Post by: Frostie on March 18, 2019, 11:53:56 AM
Last year I played a large Hail Caesar game using my successor armies for Raphia.

The battle was hard fought and good fun to play, a minor victory for Ptolemy.

Sorry I have not completed, or even started the basing I will do eventually.

All figures are Xyston.

I have one unit of cavalry and a ton of elephants to paint to finish the painting part of the project lol

Impressive looking armies! I love the look of mass pike forces, its something you don't see in 15mm often.

A great-looking game, and impressive was the first word that came to mind for me as well.

Thanks guys, as you might be able to tell I like big armies lol

As for pike the are
20 bases @ 32 figures
4 bases @ 48 figures
3 bases @ 16 figures

There will also be 17 bases of 2 elephants each....a lot of 'nelies lol.  I'm finishing off the 'nelies now.

The whole project is
1211 foot
154 mounted
34 elephants

All the miniatures are Xyston

It's been a great project....

Two more elephants join the Seleucid stable.
These are the earlier 'Indian' style elephants but I thought they would add a bit of variation to the armies.

Xyston miniatures obviously

When they are based, on 80x60s the  bases are magnetized.  I then store them in magnetized Really Useful Boxes

No I am not naming all 34 elephants lol
