I like it, taking photos of so many figures is never easy, never comes out the way I want either.

Fantastic job Keith!
-
one of the best painted army i nerver seen :-*

Wonderful! Can you give a summary of the army list? When I used stormtroopers in a demo game I had to find out hte hard way that 6 man units are rubbish - quickly shot down to less than 5 minis which means if one morale check goes wrong they can't rally. On hte other hand once in close combat they are killers.
-
Gosh I think we better start selling the dog separately :D
Its a great looking army Keith.
As far as I can tell and to answer a question, the majority of figs are Great War and Renegade, all Keith needs now are some nice Scarab Austrian stormtroopers to round out the next 1000 points :o
I have been preparing an Assault Battalion with a Strosstruppen company as support. These will be used as Austrians (surprise surprise!) and I have a game on Thursday as a practise for the All Quiet on the Evesham Front event at Gripping Beast Towers.
I went this route to get more men in and scoring units.
There are two companies of Assault troops with 3 platoons each, of which one platoon is boosted to the max and has two LMGs. Another in the same company has rifle grenades. Both these platoons are there to provide cover fire for everyone else.
The strosstruppen have 3 platoons, each with flamethrower and I also have a HMG for support.
As the whole force is committed to attack, I have nothing else, no tank, no big guns and the same would be said for stormtroopers, take as many troops as possbile, and move across as fast as possible.
Kind regards

Hi Keith
This is a great army and a tremendous painting effort. I have just ordered a big lot of the Renegade minis and will be following up with some specialists from the Scarab and Great War lines. Any thoughts on your most used paints for painting the stormtroopers. What colours would you recommend? I've started using the Vallejo German paint set and these seem to have some of the colours but yours seem more vibrant.
Tips?

Hi here's the basic paint recipe:
The uniforms are Basecoated with Vallejo Olive grey, then Field grey followed by Fld Grey/Green Grey Mix.
Collar Coat d'arms black green then highlighted with Coat d'arms grey green
Assault packs are Citadel Charandon grey base with Vallejo Bassalt grey added for highlights.
Mess tin/ Gas mask tin Coat d'arms dark grey base, then Coat d'arms tank blue grey added till pure tank blue grey.
Bread bag & gas mask strap Coat d'arms blue grey highlighted with Coat d'arms field blue.
Wood is the classic citadel of bestial brown, snakebite leather then Bubonic Brown.
Cam is:
Red Brown = Vallejo model colour Cavalry brown highlighted with Vallejo game colour Dark Fleshtone
Green = Citadel Bark angels green highlighted by adding Vallejo USA Uniforn Green
Beige = Citadel snakebite leather highlight with Vallejo Green Ochre.

Thanks Keith for the recipes. Looks like I'll be able to use most of my Vallejo then. Not sure about the Coat d'Arms stuff. Where's the best mail order for this stuff?
Look forward to seeing the second 1000pts!
