The world of superhero minis is filled with variations on the same old themes. Guy with cape. guy with wings, big muscle guy, all these we've seen ad nausem. But how many minis have you seen that portray a seven-foot cockroach packing four automatic pistols and wearing a trenchcoat "disguise?" Enter The Glock=Roach, from the Superfigs line produced by Four-Color Figures. He's one of the most unique minis I've ever seen, and you need to see the pictures to understand his surreal majesty. Follow the link for the review and pics.

Will Glock Industries follow in the tradition of GW and sue four-color for breach of their copyright on the use of the word Glock?

Great review!
I like the antenna pointing forward. I did mine backwards. I geuss I need to get another one!

Screaming Alpha Reviews are becoming addictive.
Also, kudos for making sure the goodness of Wee Toy Soldiers continues to reverberate around the web!
I doff my hat, sir.

Aye, that miniature is awesome. I've been eying it for some time.

Shush-shush! They'll hear the suggestion before I can get one! On a slight derail here, GW had no right to copyright 'space marine', Heinlein and others used it long before that evil empire ever rose to blot out the skyline.
Agreed, Screaming Alpha reviews are most excellent!
-
The GW empire even went so far as to copyright the work reiver, which was in use 3-400 years before GW came into existance.
"Glock" as least is the name of the maker of the Glock fireamrs, Gunter Glock of Austria. I own 2.
The figure is very cool, but it would be even more effective if instead of 4 weapons, it had 2 hands to shoot, and 2 to reload.

I am flattered and humbled by your praise, gentlemen. I have a lot of respect for the LAF and the high caliber of the hobbyists who hang out here, so kudos here mean a lot to me.
On the whole I think I like the antennae pointing forward as well.
-
with the model standing the antennae forward makes sense, they would only sweep back if he was running.

Hey, At last I get a Model for a Bug Exotic with extrashoulders for my CP2020 games. :-*

Well, there's also the Formula 1 racing driver, Timo Glock. I assume that as it's a "proper" name, rather than one invented for a "trademark" they couldn't get the lawyers in.
Are those actually Glock pistols he's holding? That would be another escape because as far as I know no miniature manufactuer has been sued for making model weapons.
I hope I'm right.
He's a lovely figure, though and would be useful for SF games too. Thanks for the review (again!) Curryman :D

Actually he's Tim O'Glock, the well known Irish racing driver (after his stint with Jordan). lol
