Title: HomeBargains
Post by: TheMightyFlip on June 27, 2009, 03:20:04 PM
HomeBargains in the UK are selling the Legion of Superheroes starter set for HeroClix at £2.99. Well worth a pop in as you get 7 Mini's Young Superman, Phantom Girl, Saturn Girl, Cosmic Boy, Timberwolf, Ultra Boy and Lightening Lad. Nice sculpts all round. You also get a satilite dish, a flying drone (I want those if no one wants em) and a Shriking Violet (which is just a heroclixs stand...hrrm).

Oi Commander Vyper, If by any accident you buy a few sets too much I'd be very interested in a few as well :)

Those sets pretty hard to get over here for a decent price (Actually that goes for clix in general :()

Well I look and look and unfortunately looks like they've all gone now sorry. :(

I'll try to take a look over at Bideford tomorrow if I get chance.

I did buy 35 of them when I first saw them in there a few months back so you can probably blame me! ;)

To be honest I did a check of thier website and there was no mention of heroclix, so its possible they rotated what was left of thier stock, I honestly think you wont be able to find them in the shops again now.

Checked, and once again the boro lets me down, no HeroClixs, and the InStore website states theres a store in the next town over, no such store.

The Works here in Nottingham had them but they were £1.99 not £1 :( I got a couple of packs but would have bought more if they were £1.

The In Store website claims there is one near me. The store it shows however is a TK Maxx and has been for a rather long time.

I did find a Poundstretcher with a few Justice League packs on their shelf today. I bought two of them. Can't find a starter set anywhere though.

I dont think there was a specific justice league starter set, any of the starter sets would do . If you just want the rules i think you can still download them from  the Whizkids site, if not let me know i should have a spare set somewhere.

Also Poundstretcher was what Instore used to be called

Good point, and yet I now know of two Poundstretchers that are still called that. There is one in Loughborough which I found yesterday and I found one a couple of weeks ago while on holiday. I nipped into the nearest town (Thetford) to grab a few bits and found a big one there.

Went in  two Home Bargains today ,they both had just the Lrgon of Superhero  clix set.

Also went into The works and was told from sunday there would be a sale on the gaming stuff, which the person i talked to thought included the Clix sets.

Please could you check if theres clixs other than legion of superheroes, I would be more than willing to purchase some of them.

Went to In Store they had about 8 packs on the shelf most open!
Talking to the staff they said they had a customer who stood there in front of them and opened them up then left  :o.
I wasn't surprised to hear he isn't welcome back.

That's ruddy awful.

I picked up a few from the works, there's a bunch of characters I have never heard of and the Riddler.
