Forgot to post it here, but Ludik Bazar has the last of Rackham's stock of metal miniatures, including Hybrid and Nemesis (both for 25 euros :o ). You can find the last models at:
http://www.ludikbazar.com/
The prices are absurd and if you're in Europe, the shipping fees are not that bad (especially if you order a lot).

Damn.... why can't any company that goes big survive... other than GW...??

Don't worry, Rackham is not dead : they just stop the production of metal miniatures. Their new games AT-43 and Confrontation the Age of Rag'Narok use plastic and pre-painted miniatures.

Plastic and already painted. As there is no "yawn" emoticon I will have to use lol lol lol

I don't think that 'going big' as an obvious boon to anyone. I generally mean that you are trying to make conformists out of us rather than providing stuff we can play with as it pleases us.

Well, I must say that I donc understand that one. ???
The most important is that Rackham still supports its two main and excellent games with good miniatures.

OT is a "pure" painter and addict to lead so he should be very, very bored with only pre-painted plastic toys ;)
Luckily, to each his own !

Quite right. I’m only a painter, so no interest in pre-painted. And I prefer metal to plastic figures.
No offense intended fbruntz :)

One day you will game oh yes one day :D
As will I o_o
dodge
PS I did actually put an order in for some minis i have been coveting for a while and they have been despatched today what service

Time to start saving my money!
I need some more Mid Nor stuff. I found out they have actually gotten rid of them altogether, even in the modern version.
Although, the modern rules aren't even as good as the previous ones. The miniatures are dire in comparison and the pre-painted aspect is annoying.
-
i'm not impressed with the pre painted plastics i gotta say.
didn't they get rid of a bunch of their sculptors as well?
if they went the way of GW and did multi part plastics (to the same quality of their metals) it wouldn't be so bad. pre painted plastics are only good if you need a hoard of zombies in a very short space of time.
now i just wish i had some money to buy some of that metal goodness.
-
They did do multipart plastics. The Abberation Prime is a plastic model, far superior quality to any GW model, but much less posability. ;)
-
Nice info I have picked up alot from Simple minds when on sale and have quite a force of Dwarves fo TRir no bor for use as chaos dwarves however these give a nice alternative to e-bay which are now wayover priced

oh yeah, i do have that model. its so beautiful i weep every time i take it out of its packet.
Seriously though, i have had it since it first came out (pretty much) and haven't made it yet, every now and then i take it out, look at it and think i need at least 2 more before i even attempt to paint and build 1.
the production values on nemesis and hybrid must have been through the roof. but it was such a good game.
-
I heard it was awful and just as hard to understand...
I'd still love a copy nonetheless, havin not tried it myself.
At that price as well... :(
Shame I have no money.
-
it does suffer from bad translation and no proof reading.
but it comes with a couple of box sets of minis (Scorpions and griffons)
and the tiles are great to use with other things (like advanced hero quest, dungeon bowl and others)
and the inclusion of the cards in with other thematically appropriate miniatures is a great idea, meaning that you get expansions without having to buy another huge box (other than nemesis)
shame about the not a big release on the ophidians.

I think Hybrid is very clear compared with Cadwallon! ::)
I went to that site to order a single blister (Soim), and while the price is halved, postage is not. 15 euros just for posting that one blister to Finland is a bit too much.

Yep but Cadwallon is some kind of role playing game, much more complex.
Hybrid is quite a good game, rules are not perfect and there are two many cards, but it's cool. I hope that there will be a second edition as simple and effective as Confrontation the Age of Rag'Narok.
-
that would be epic, but im not sure about their pre painted plastics.
