I downloaded the sample rules earlier.... have figures for the scenario! Will give it a go at the weekend.

Oh, likewise. I saw the post Mike made on the Calgary gaming forum about him, and it was a dead-steal of an idea :) . I bet ol' H.P.L. is turning in his grave at the idea of a miniature representation of him for a game >:D .

Let us know what you think of the trial rules, I think Scott (Lidless) did a fantastic job. I know he rocked it out on that website.
We've gotten everyone's orders, and Mike and I went through it all and organized it yesterday. He was going to get some more packaging finished last night and then work on getting the orders piled up and ready to package up. Things should be going out by Monday. Everyone will get an e-mail once their package has been posted.

You should be fine. Last I checked there were under 20 orders as of last night, so you should be okay. I'll make sure if Mike hasn't sent the invoice, that he gets to it tonight when I am over ther.

Good news for me, disappointing news for the game... :?
I'd have expecting gamers rushing in to get hold of a tabletop ruleset so directly linked to the Mythos... There's quite a hype around the Ganesha Games 'Fear and Faith' ruleset's Cthulhu-potential (I know, I'm on the Yahoo-group - and DO like the rules), but this should easily flash out some more cultists...
Read the 'light version' on my way home from work in the bus today, and the rules seem easy to pick up.
I have one little concern regarding the activation rules: I can see some gamers (not those from this forum I've met and gamed with, but others I've encountered over time..) buying/building a powerhouse of a model, and then just keep activating that model in an attempt to wipe out the (hopefully more balanced) opposition one by one.
As I have not yet actually played the game, I'm not sure if that approach will work, but it was a thing that sprang to mind when I read the rules. There may be some points limits to avoid that kind of beardiness (where DID that expression come from???).
Let's hear from other players along the way what they experience.

We've been playing the game and playtesting for almost 3 years. We've tried that approach ourselves, and it'll work once or twice. But then next game the Lurker player just chooses some different beasties and knocks you down a peg.
To us it's doing better than expected, and I am trying to talk with some distributors as well. I think we were half expecting no one to be interested, just us.

Pictures would be much better if they weren't taken from above. Makes it hard to see what I'm contemplating buying. Nice bowler, but what else does I get for my money?

i've got the resin figures in my sweaty hands as i type, and the first wave of releases are much better in real life.....
this of course leads to a follow up question....
when will the scrawny ones, werewolf etc be released?

The next few months look like this:
August - Scrawny Ones
September - Werewolf
October - Serpentmen, Gravestones and Zombies
Mike has it figured out a ways past that, but I'll leave it up to him to make the announcements when he's ready to do so.
Generally, you'll see the release dates if you mouse over the images on the website. I suppose I should probably post a more conventional release schedule somewhere on there as well!

That had been the intent, but we've run into a glitch with the online store that's delayed it going "live". I'm trying my best to get it working, but the ETA for launch isn't solid right now. In the interim, you can send an email off to orders@strange-aeons.ca. Just let us know what you want and provide your mailing address, and we'll get back to you ASAP with a PayPal invoice.
