Might do some more irregular looking ones to reresent local militia, once i've finished a platoon of these guys.

Excellent paint job and lovely figures too. They really capture the genre.
-
Nice work... I'll echo the comment from elsewhere that the armbands provide a good contrast to the plain uniform. :)
-
Very very nicely done :-*
-
Thanks guys.
Was really pleased with how the assaultos fitted in with the musketeer minis (helps that they were sculpted by Paul Hicks as well) - have got another couple of dozen on the paint table....
...and before anyone starts banging on about symbols, i'd like to go on record to say that the armband is quite clearly an "s", that stands for shock troops....
:)

You're safe there... just don't anyone go for abbreviating 'shock soldiers' on their armbands ;)

Some painted minis - some you've seen previously, but also a bunch of new recruits.

Holy cow! they do have some spiffie uniforms no wonder ever one is joining the BUF lol
-
It's like a rule or something, that the bad guys have to be the best dressed, otherwise nobody would be on their side. You'll find it's a historical constant. :D
-
Think of it like a western - the bads guys wear black, so everyone knows who they are.
:D
-
... and the hero has the biggest hat. lol
-
Excellent looking force, just getting into this period but i'm goining to concentrate on a Royalist Terratorials.

Needless to say, painting everything black means its pretty quick to do!

Damn I wish I could get more people in my group intrested in BCW, but there still all into the first amrican Civil war. Not that i mind but it would give me an excuase to use all these nice mid war mins. :D

Commisar Moody,
It was suggested to me, recently, that if I wanted to get Americans into a game like BCW that I should suggest doing something similar on US soil with an inter-war 2nd ACW. Suggest this and see if that motivates your crew? You might just get some Rebel or Yankee spirits boiling at the concept of being able to slap a Confederate flag on the side of US panel trucks and such.

Some very, very nice work here, Akula. Love these figs. I'm using the Assaultos for my "Minutemen" in the ACW2 setting I'm developing.
