Can you recommend a particular type or brand of razor saw suitable for cutting miniatures off their metal bases?
(I live in Japan so I can get Tamiya/OLFA easily or I can order on ebay, or order from Europe, but I cant buy from USA due to USPS being too expensive for international orders)
Can you give some advice on how to de-base & pin the correct way? ???
At the moment I use hobby snips & trim away the base leaving just 2 blocks under the feet, then stick those into holes on the new base. It's a bit clumsy because getting the hole the right size & shape is tricky. Id prefer to slice the figures off & pin them.
Im worried how to do this properly because just slicing seems the blade would be cutting the shoe rather than under the shoe.
Thanks for your advice. 👍

To be honest, I'd carry on with the snips but then snip of the blocks under the feet, file/sand them flat (both at the same time so they are level) then use a pin vice and brass wire to pin him onto the base. I only bother with one foot as lining up two is a pain. Never had any problems :)
