Just to arouse your curiosity..we will have another LAF painting (and not only..) contest soon. Not like LPL. Not so big. Small and nice.
I hope, now you're completely mystified ;)
Just need some days to work out the rules etc...
-
Excellent - it would be nice to have something not quite as 'He-Man' as the LPL. :)
-
peaked my interest.
Will be looking out for the details.
-
You tease.
Must admit I ran out of steam even before this LPL started so something a little different could be what I need to get back in the groove.
-
don't worry, you don't need to paint other 50 figs for that contest :)
-
Just had some days off from painting after that hard LPL season 3 and started yesterday with my long-term projects again - now you announce another contest, Alex. :(
You know that I will always be tempted, won't you? 8)

Yes, I guess you will :D In any case as soon as you know more about the contest :)
-
;) I know what it is... ;)

Is it.........something with an African theme? ::)
If so, I'm glad I bought 2 pots of Coat D'arms Negro at Devizes at the weekend, in an attempt to emulate Plynkes african fleshtones. Of course, having the same painting ability would probably help more.... :(
-
2 pots? How many Africans are you doing in this emulation?

Potentially, rather alot. I have loads (maybe 50 packs of tribesmen & women, pygmies, Ruga-Ruga, Zanzibaris, Askari,....mostly in bags & filling an A4 filebox) of Copplestone/Foundry Darkest africa that I bought so long ago they still have 8 miniatures per pack. On top of that I have around 50 locals I bought for a Mogadishu '93 game that never got finished, but may now see action in some Ambush Alley games.
The reality, of course, is something completely different. ::)
As long as I get at least some painted it will be progress.
-
I hope it's NOT something with an African theme as it turned out I didn't have anything like that in my lead pile for the last round of the LPL. Besides, wouldn't make much sense to match a new contest with the same theme as the last round of the LPL (he says hopefully).

Poppycock, sir! What's more balderdash, too. Your Predators and their robot spring to mind as an example of your work that refutes that statement. That was a sterling effort, especially the little details and patterning on the robot. So we'll have no more of that kind of talk here. :)

Intrigue!

This sounds interesting! I missed out on LPL 3 by a few months, and I'd love to get involved with some of the forum events, so this could be just the ticket.
But Tuesday or Wednesday before you reveal more! That's a whole (counts quickly to himself) four days! We're gamers, we can't be expected to have that sort of patience!
-
Have to keep track of this. Maybe I can figure out the picture thing by then.
-
check it :)
