Street scenes from Kalgan, mod. Zhangjiakou, in Hebei Province of North China. Zhangjiakou has been nicknamed "Beijing's Northern Door" due to its strategic location. End of the line (literally) for Chinese railways and last stop before the trek across the Gobi into Mongolia

From an extensive collection taken by Harrison Brown during his travels in China from 1936 to 1937. They are available in the Harrison Brown Collection in the Special Collections department at the Simon Fraser University Library. An indispensible resource for BoB/Pulp modellers out there
