Title: Frostgrave Perilous Dark Scenario
Post by: Seal on February 10, 2020, 08:19:09 PM
Hi,

I gave making my own Perilous Dark scenarios a try, and I have posted the first of three on my site for anyone that may be interested in giving it a try. You can find it here: https://forkusprimordus.weebly.com/other-1528mm-games/frostgrave-perilous-dark-narrative-campaign

I hope it is of use for some of you.

Take care,
S

P.S. Here is one pic from the actual game.

Thank you for sharing! I didn't get perilous dark but I'm tempted now ... maybe when the Frostgrave2 nickstarter starts. If I finish painting my piles of plastic ^.^

We’ve enjoyed the Perilous Dark cooperative games. It’s pretty much Rangers of Shadow Deep with wizards.

I also can relate to your pile of plastic  :D

I'm just about to alter a perilous Dark scenario for a game on the 29th Feb - my opinion is the book and designers notes is one of, if not the best of the Frostgrave supplements.

So it was nice reading your scenario.

I wouldn't say it was RoSD with wizards...but it certainly contains a strong crossover element.

We got in the second scenario for our mini-campaign. So I thought I would post a link if you are interested in trying it out. The best part of the game was when an ogre threw a pumpkin and took out a thief. Here is a link: https://forkusprimordus.weebly.com/other-1528mm-games/frostgrave-perilous-dark-narrative-campaign-scenario-2

By the way, I realized that I need some dirt road terrain. If anyone has any suggestions about where to get some, I would appreciate it. I'm considering making it, but I may just buy it if I find some I like.

Here're a few pics from the game, too.

For road terrain, I suggest an offcuts of two of roofing felt. Flexible and can be coloured depending on whether you want dirt or stone (or tarmac) roads.

Thanks for the info. I’ll look into the felt idea.

Good looking boards and interesting scenarios. Did you ever manage to do the third?

Thanks, BZ.  :)

GG, we did do the third scenario. Unfortunately, shortly after doing it, this whole COVID fiasco began, and I never posted the scenario information. My world went upside down pretty quickly, to be honest. I’ll try to dig it up and post it ASAP.

Take care everyone  :)

Ah, sorry to hear things hit so hard. I have been fortunate in having been less impacted than many others. Glad to hear you got a third game in.

I'll second the roof felt as a source for tracks, I've done a load for tarmac roads, but can't see why it wouldn't work for dirt tracks.
