Greetings all,
I was in Yellowstone national park last year, and saw some amazing '30's buses they used to give tours.

I thought they'd be great for some far-off adventure.
I found a nicely scaled model in the visitor center, and took it home. I finally had a chance to get to work on it, repainting, and refitting the seats and stuff. The paint is in good shape now, but I still have work to do on the interior, as well as finding the polybag with all the headlamps, and other external fittings.

That's an Artizan Para. He's a little small, but Copplestone BoB figs look perfect. (gotta get a pic)

I plan on adding rolled canvas roof sections, and an expedition-sized equipment rack with crates, and spare tires. I may add a lewis gun mount as well.
Hoping to finish it up in August.

Nice. Looks very Spanish Civil War.

That's fantastic, looking forward to the finished model :-*

Like it. Totally pulp.
Would look pretty good for Back of Beyond too, with a load of crates, bundles and cages of chickens on the roof!
Weren't they driving round in something similar in the new Indiana Jones movie? Or was that a truck? It's left a bit of a blot on my memory.
Anyway, if they weren't, they should have been! ;)

That totally reminds me of Egg Foos tour bus in the movie Big Trouble in Little China!
-
You're right, Tom.
Egg Chen used the same kind of bus with a different paint job, in "Big Trouble"

See, it's perfect for an Adventure.

Here's the first passenger for Egg Chen's tour:

It was buried in that movie link above ;)

Did a bit more work on the PAB this weekend:
Added the roof rack. I made it out of a foil take-out container, and wire. It's one piece of foil, folded and cut. I gave it a black under-coat so the seems could show up black, under the white paint job.

Looks like most of the original accessories may have been lost. I found one headlight and one rearview mirror. I used wire to make replacement grab rails, and the right-side rearview mirror. I need to find some 'O rings for spare tires, and make some gear to put on the rack, then I can begin painting the expedition members.

Nice weathering on the bus.
You could also shorten the wheelbase and remove a couple of windows from it
Cheers
