I just received a lucrative offer in my PMs from user cynthia 75 http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?action=profile;u=2621 (http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?action=profile;u=2621) If I help them smuggle some funds out of Nigeria I'll receive a substantial cut. I decided I would share this with all of you since I am not a greedy person. lol

Thanks Prof. Now how am I supposed to contact her and claim my fortune?!? :D
I figured that you were already aware of it and doubted that anyone here would be dim enough to fall for it, but I thought I should play it safe.

if anyone interested I can share a whole lot of letters (more than 1200!!!!) from all over the world not only Nigeria. I think nowdays nigerian letters are the very small minority. More moderns use russian names.
BTW do you know there is a "nigerian letter generator" on the web.
anyhow all this stuff is very annoying, thanks god recently these letters are stopped by spam guards. hope not to have more incidents like that in the future.
I forgot: all these letters are very useful. they provide quite a list of names that can be used to name our figures in our games. from colonial to pulp or even modern I think they are useful to name our characers, not to mention tha some stories of them can be adapted for scenarios.

I just saw a television report on that yesterday (on 16x9) and they said that nowadays the "Nigerian letters" originate from Netherlands (Amsterdam area), Canada (Vancouver and Toronto area) and a third place that I don’t remember… The saddest thing about that is when elderly person get too confident and lost a large chunk of their life saving... Make me want to kick some butts! >:(

What a great idea, I'd not thought of using this scam as gaming scenario, attempting to smuggle money/diamonds/gold/lead soldiers out a collapsed dictatorship after a military coup, only to discover it's all a trap. :)
