Title: Lahmian Medium Problem
Post by: Huscarl on 31 May 2020, 07:30:00 PM
I am using Lahmian Medium as a matte varnish. I have done so in the past with great results, but for some reason it's drying glossy now. Can anyone explain what's going on?

have a new pot on the way from GW - will post whether matt / glossy.

ok - not the most helpful result.

one of the 'new' (to me) large pots, direct from GW mail order.

tried it on a figure with some glossy areas, and it's kind of dulled them down - the general impression is kind of 'satin', not really a flat matt, but certainy not 'gloss'.

will update if I experiment further.

Not exactly helpful, but switch to AK Interactive Uktra Matte, it’s phenomenal for Brush on varnishing. Very very flat.
